A perfect little short-sleeved cardi for children to wear over a long-sleeved top in the fall or sundress in the spring. This simple smock style cardigan is feminine and whimsical, and is sure to be a favorite!
This is a children's top down, raglan style cardigan which is worked on circular needles. The body of the sweater is worked in stockinette stitch, while the sleeves and pockets add interest with reverse stockinette. Stitches are picked up for the button and buttonhole bands, as well as for the collar, which is worked vertically.
Shown in size 6 on a seven-year-old girl.
