Please note that this listing is for a PDF knitting pattern and not the actual garment.

This is the cardigan that I have been seeking for ever and ever! It can be worn long in the back, or flip it over for a cropped cardigan with a large fold over collar. It goes as well over jeans as over a dress, and I’ve even worn it with yoga pants.

Pattern Notes

This cardigan is worked in vertical garter stitch with simple increases, decreases and short rows to shape the curved hem of the back. Then stitches are picked up for the front, and the sleeves are picked up last, with thumb holes to keep your hands warm on chilly days!

A note on gauge: Use the Swatch Gauge below when measuring your swatch. The Worn Gauge reflects the way the stitches stretch when the weight of a full sweater is draped over your body.

Swatch Gauge

25.5 sts/34 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch

23.5 sts/35 rows = 4” in garter stitch

Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.

Worn Gauge

21.5 sts/36.5 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch

21.5 sts/43.5 rows = 4” in garter stitch
