Inspired by the classically beautiful Audrey Hepburn, Audrey is a super simple sweater that knits up very quickly in worsted weight yarn using three needle sizes. The enduring silhouette is timeless and is an essential addition to your basics wardrobe!

For this sweater, you will need three sizes of needles in various lengths: the largest is the size you used to get gauge, and then the two sizes below that size. For example, I got gauge with a US7/4.5mm needle, so I used this as well as a US6/4mm and US5/3.75mm needle.

How to Choose a Size

This sweater is meant to be worn with 2-5” of positive ease, depending on how fitted you want it.  Choose a size that is 2-5” larger than your bust measurement.

Shown in size 2 on a 36”/91 cm bust and 12”/30.5 cm arm circumference, and worn here with 3.5”/9 cm of ease in the bust and 2”/5 cm of ease in the upper arm.

Sweater Body Gauge

17 sts/23 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch worked in the round using largest needle

You only need to gauge swatch the Sweater Body Gauge!  The neckline ribbing can be checked as you are working the neckline.  😉

Neckline Gauge

23 sts/28 rows = 4” in k1, p1 ribbing
